Commercial Glazier
Overview
Sheboygan Glass & Glazing is seeking a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented Commercial Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial glass and glazing installation, a solid understanding of construction practices, and a commitment to producing high-quality work while maintaining strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Install and replace glass in windows, doors, storefront systems, curtain wall systems, and other framing systems according to project specifications, shop drawings, and company standards.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to install:
• Aluminum entrances
• Storefront systems
• Curtain wall systems
• Commercial windows
• Glass partitions
• Glass railings
• Shower enclosures
• Mirrors
• Various other glazing systems
• Install, adjust, and troubleshoot commercial door hardware.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documents to determine project requirements.
• Hang, align, and adjust doors to ensure proper operation and functionality.
• Perform minor carpentry tasks as needed to support installations.
• Safely lift, handle, and set heavy glass materials using proper techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, foremen, installers, and other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and jobsite safety requirements.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial glazing installation experience required.
• Strong knowledge of commercial glazing systems and installation practices.
• Experience with commercial door hardware is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, plans, and specifications accurately.
• Proficient in safely using hand tools and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Physical ability to safely lift and handle heavy materials.
• Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and work on active construction sites for extended periods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
Preferred Experience
• Well-rounded experience with commercial glazing systems and installation practices.
• Experience installing and adjusting commercial door hardware.
• Experience working with aluminum entrances, storefront systems, curtain wall systems, and commercial windows.
• Experience reading shop drawings and coordinating installation details in the field.
• Leadership or foreman experience is a plus.

Jr. Estimator
Overview
Sheboygan Glass & Glazing is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and analytical individual to join our estimating team as a Junior Estimator.
This entry-level position offers hands-on training and mentorship in commercial glass and glazing estimating. The Junior Estimator will learn how to read architectural drawings, perform material takeoffs, review project specifications, and assist in preparing pricing proposals for storefront systems, curtain wall systems, interior glazing, entrances, and other commercial glass projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong math and computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Experience in construction is a plus, but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to grow, enjoys working with numbers, and wants to build a long-term career in the commercial construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for glass, aluminum, and related materials
• Assist with soliciting vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Help prepare formal estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
• Review project details to help ensure estimates are accurate and complete
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure estimating information aligns with project needs and field conditions
• Maintain and update estimating files, databases, and historical pricing information
• Attend pre-bid meetings and jobsite walkthroughs as needed
• Communicate professionally with general contractors, architects, vendors, and suppliers
• Assist with organizing bid documents, addenda, and project information
Qualifications
• Strong math skills, including algebra, geometry, fractions, decimals, and measurements
• Comfortable working with construction measurements and basic takeoff calculations
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and general file organization
• Familiarity with PDF markup software such as Bluebeam or Adobe is a plus
• Ability to read basic construction drawings, or a strong willingness to learn
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Coursework or experience in construction management, drafting, engineering, or a related field is a plus
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
Preferred Experience
• Previous construction, estimating, drafting, or project coordination experience is a plus, but not required
• Experience with commercial construction documents is a plus
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for calculations, tracking, or data entry
• Familiarity with glass, glazing, storefront, curtain wall, doors, or aluminum framing systems is helpful, but not required

General Shop Laborer and Material Loader
Overview
Sheboygan Glass & Glazing is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Shop Laborer / Material Loader.
This position plays an important support role in our daily operations by assisting with material handling, warehouse organization, vehicle upkeep, general shop maintenance, and seasonal grounds tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically capable, willing to learn, and ready to help wherever needed.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time afternoon hours in a hands-on work environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Load and unload materials and products from vehicles
• Assist with organizing the warehouse to maintain efficient space utilization
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, fabrication area, office, and work areas
• Perform custodial duties related to company vehicles, office, warehouse, and fabrication spaces
• Refuel field technician vehicles as needed
• Assist with general seasonal grounds maintenance, including basic landscaping and snow clearing
• Help ensure materials, tools, and supplies are properly stored and accessible
• Follow OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and proper lifting procedures
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently

Qualifications
