Assistant Glazier

Overview Have you been thinking about joining the construction industry but don't know how to get your foot in the door!? Look no further...

We are seeking a mechanically inclined, "good with their hands" and detail-oriented candidate to join our team as an Assistant Glazier. We offer paid on the job training (similar to an apprenticeship, but better!), where you will gain the knowledge and experience to become an expert commercial glazier.

The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools, be hard working, and be willing and able to learn the trade.

As an Assistant Glazier, you will be assisting with the installation, repairing, or replacing glass and aluminum framing, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Duties • Assist with Installation and replacement of glass in windows, doors, and other various framing according to specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to assist in installation of aluminum entrances, storefronts, curtain walls, windows.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to assist in installation of glass partitions, glass railings, glass showers, mirrors, and other types of glazing.
• Perform minor carpentry tasks as needed to support glass installations.
• Assist with hanging doors and help ensure proper alignment and functionality.
• Lift heavy glass panels safely, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Experience • General knowledge in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English.

Expected Hours: 45-50 per week (Typically 4-day workweek)
